Sometimes it’s much easier to reach to someone else’s closet than your own, simply because it’s different. So that’s exactly what I did by borrowing my boyfriends button down shirt. Seeing that simply just wearing it, it would eat me up in size I decided to make it more “my own” and turned it into a wrap blouse. How? Simple, just leave the front part unbuttoned and wrap it around your body like you would with a wrap around blouse and with just matter of seconds you have a new trendy shirt to play around with, plus it’s not as massive as it was before. Tip: wear a nice bra or a bralette underneath for unwanted shirt malfunctions due to the open buttons. You could also go for a longer blouse and wear it as a wrap dress simply by adding a belt. You could also try pairing your wrap around blouse (or any other blouse/top in that matter) with a same color waistcoat and culottes, this makes it a perfectly refreshing co-ord. The long straight lines of a waistcoat and the length of the culottes creates a nice visual line and elongates you, plus it gives the interest and style factor to your outfit. To compliment the grey/blue tones in a shirt go for brick tones for finishing touches. Instead of going for a heel shoes to feel taller you could opt for flatforms. Flatforms will give you the height without being uncomfortable and painful to walk in for a long time plus you can find them from almost any shoe store. If trainer style flatforms are not for you then there are many other style flatforms you could try out.
