As I already made an post dedicated to hair care routine, I thought the next logical step would be a post about my skincare routine. Skin, just like hair, is a big part of our appearance and that’s why it’s really important to have great tools and products to your disposal to achieve a flawless skin and healthy glow. For someone who has suffered with acne and poor skin for a very long time, like myself, makes it that more important to take good care of the skin. I have tried many products to keep my skin tamed and clear from spots and I have finally found my holey grail products.

Firstly it is really important to keep the skin clean. So I have been using this cleansing scrubber from a local drugstore every night with a face soap. You can find this spiked cleanser from most drugstores fairly cheap.

After the cleanse, I use a face tonic to get the best final results. Tonic makes sure that everything that you might have missed before, will be be taken care off. Tonics are most helpful and necessary for people with oily or acne-prone skin, or for people who want extra cleansing after wearing makeup or other heavy skin products such as sun screen.

Now that the face is clean and fresh, it’s time for the anti aging remedies. As I’m getting closer to my 30’s I thought it would be the prime time to start using products that fight off the upcoming wrinkles. I’m using the cream Bio dermal Anti Age serum that has a powerful antioxidant, vitamin E and a natural moisturizing factor for a flawless glowing and healthy skin. This serum has a light texture that makes it really easy to apply all over my face and neck. Yes, DO NOT forget your neck!

My last product (and by far my favorite) is a snail cream from De Tuinen. This creme has been my greatest find I’ve ever come across to. Snail creme consists of a snail fluid extract, aloë vera, jojoba, vitamin E and allantoin particles. It repairs the skin, scars and provides anti-aging molecules. And personally for me, the most important part about the cream, is that it keeps the spots away.

If all that is not enough and my skin still feels like it needs more moisture, I tend to add a little bit of castor oil to my skin care routine. Castor oil is a natural oil that gives skin a lot of moisture. An interesting fact about castor oil – it helps to grow eyelashes and eyebrows. It also helps to keep the skin healthy and helps with scarring. All and all this oil is amazing for you in any way.

If my skin decides on acting out and gifts me with blemishes. Then I need something stronger and therefore, for the occasional spot treatment, I have this a Dr. Organic Tea Tree Blemish Stick. This pure oil is free from all chemicals and works wonders with stubborn spots. Bye-bye spots!

I’m hoping that this post can be helpful for anyone with problematic skin and who suffers with acne.
