Time has passed by so fast that I have completely dismissed the fact that I have a blog post to write. So here I am, writing a blog post that has been over due way too long, just like these pictures are, that were taken when it was a lot warmer outside… but better late than never right? I would also like to take a moment to wish you all a happy New Year and hope you had a great New Year’s Eve. Lets get back to the actual post now!

As I have written many posts before about the monochromatic look (HERE, HERE and HERE) I wanted to take over the basis once again with this look. Shades of grey are for sure one of the IT colors for winter time. It is really easy to create looks based on only few shades, so why not do it in as many ways as possible? Who said you can’t wear dresses in winter? All you really need to do is add a pair of warm tights or a long coat and you are good¬† to go. Maxi dresses are perfect for colder weather and layering in general for that matter. You can layer over and under them just by adding a different shade or warmer material item. In my case I went for a long ribbed jumper with super high cut slits on the side (which are a massive thing right now if you haven’t noticed). Adding something with slits gives an outfit an instant different dimension and feel. So don’t be afraid to play around with this trend. Whilst creating layers on top or underneath of your maxi dress don’t forget to cinch in the waist with a belt because that makes a world of a difference to your shape. Talking about trends there is another big one on this look. Can you guess what it is? Drum roll please…prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…yes, you got it! The fluffy key rings attached to bags it is! I, myself, am sadly a victim of this trend, seen around all over the world. But hey, it sure is cute! And if it can bring a little pop of color to your otherwise colorless outfit then it’s even better.
