Shoe trends for summer
Welcome to the wonderful world of shoes! Summer is coming! Shoes are getting more open and funnier. I’ve always been a shoe freak so I thought it would be fun for you to see my shoe haul wishlist. The shoe trends for this summer are pretty much the same as last year. Lace up shoes are still dominating the troupes and not far from them are slingbacks, slides/slippers, loafers and mules (tip: pointed toe!). Of course we can not forget the sneakers like Adidas Superstars and Stan Smith’s, Nike Cortez and Reebok Classics. Also slip-on shoes are still appropriate. Gladiator shoes are also high in the list and don’t seem to go out of style an time soon. And lastly my love goes out to oxford flats and statement heels. But what’s new in the list are the platform and flat-form girly sandals. That means chunky block heels and bold platforms. In that “what’s new” list we can also add shower sandals. Yes, you read it right. Weirdly enough shower shoes are cool enough for fashion to strike straight from the pool to the streets. The shoes are getting more colorful and the dominant color is red and white also anything rainbow inspired goes like a warm bread. Detail attention goes to pom poms, metallic, beading, ballet inspired ribbons and tassels. So many trends. So little of the summer..

Flat-form sandals and espadrilles are hot for the summer and not to forget extremely comfortable. Red block heel lace up shoes with funky details like pom poms and fringe/tassels will catch anyone’s eye and give that little push for more interesting look.

Moving on to the slippers/slides and slip-on shoes. Details like metallics and different textures and materials give your simplistic shoes more depth and interest.

Lastly my favorite category – statement shoes. Bold colors, rainbows and pom poms all the things that fashion girls are made of. A little sparkle here and there and we walk higher and more confident. Just like Marilyn Monroe said “Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world”. Now go on and pick your favorite pair of shoes and conquer the world!
