When the weather is what it is during these colder times, we tend to turn to darker colors and shades because it feels natural to us. Don’t get me wrong, I like the darker colors a lot but sometimes a pop of color can change your mood so much. Especially when it’s so dark and gloomy outside. Orange has always been a color I’ve been navigating towards to without even realizing it. Going for a bright color like orange can be scary but I love it. I went overboard (obviously) and wore a bright orange layered dress that you’ve seen many times before in my blog. Wearing a dress automatically means I have to layer a sweater of some sort underneath and that’s why I went for a structured scuba material sweater with a geometric pattern. As this wasn’t enough orange, I topped off the look with orange suede heeled booties. Suede is not ideal for winter weather, especially when it’s raining or snowing, so pick a sunny dry day when you decide to wear your suede shoes. To break apart all this orange I decided to tie a denim shirt around my waist to get a more feminine silhouette back from wearing a baggy dress. I threw on a khaki colored cropped bomber jacket with orange lining. Going for a cropped jacket instantly shows the waistline, so it was an ideal choice in this case. Pairing blue denim and khaki greens with orange is a match made in heaven. These colors compliment each other so well and add some interest to your look. To finish off the entire look I accessorized with my peach shade sunglasses and wore a cute pair of fishnet socks.
