As you have already figured out I’m such a huge sucker when it comes to matching sets. I’ve written about this trend before and you can re-visit this post HERE. As it gets colder I’ve moved over to the knitted version of matching sets. Creating this uniformed look is something that I really love and wearing grey toned knitted pieces fits perfectly for colder days. The other thing that I also love is over-sizing my outfits. Over-sizing your outfit can be pretty tricky when you are a petite girl such as me, because you don’t want to look swollen by all the clothes. This is where you have to be smart and and pick out the correct pieces that might look over-sized but compliment your figure from the right places. A good trick is to pick out few over-sized items and pair them with more body hugging pieces. Think about long straight lines and cuts to create a longer looking frame. It helps when your over-sized item has tighter fitting sleeves to create a more structured vibe. Make sure that your bottom part has a well fitted waist line that snitches you in from the right places. If you choose to go for a flat shoe (especially whilst wearing culotte trousers witch tend to make you look even shorter) create length with your neckline by extending it with high neck top/sweater or go totally opposite and wear low v-neck top (I just couldn’t bear the cold). For the finishing touches I find that a sleek hair-do is a must in this case to avoid looking too over sized.

Your tips on how to avoid looking too oversized are very helpful to me, thank you for that. I like your grey matching set and how you styled it. Those boots are bomb and can I steal that tiny backpack? Hehe 😉 xx
