Lately I’m getting more and more frustrated to dress myself according to the weather. Although spring has technically arrived, the Netherlands didn’t quite get the memo. Warm weather, cold weather, every day it’s a new surprise. Frankly I can’t wait for the summer to arrive. That’s why head-to-toe color dressing, or monochrome, is an easy way to look fashion forward without having to think too much about what to wear. There’s no easier styling trick than to just grab for clothes in one matching hue, but before you do, keep these tips in mind so you don’t end up looking like a Crayola crayon. If you are afraid of this look start with an all black outfit – it’s always trendy and chic and can be worn to almost any occasion. Add some different accessories to brake the color. Play with different textures, such as silk and leather. Keep it simple or it can get too overwhelming. Try different patterns like polka dots or stripes. And last but not least try different shades. The best head-to-toe colors for this spring are pink, yellow and blue. For my look I went for head-to-toe grey and broke it up with black and white accents in my shoes and bag. Choosing a more interesting bag brings life back to a one toned outfit.
