Do you remember my first post? If you do then I applaud you. Today defines one year of HelloFashionStuff.com. Since I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do for this occasion I tried to imitate my very first post on this blog which was denim on denim look HERE. I thought it would be interesting to see how I have progressed within a year with my style and imagery. I feel like my style has changed a lot, in few ways I even felt like I lost myself in blogging and tried to post only trends to help others out. I guess this is still the case because I do like helping people with giving trend tips and fashion news but I feel like I came more my own and feel more comfortable in just being me and if that includes adding some trends to the mix it won’t harm anyone. The one thing I really love is how far I have become with my editing and originality regarding the imagery. In the beginning it was more of a street style and trying to imitate other bloggers but I realized quickly that this was not the way for me – lets just say I felt like every other blogger and lost my spark. Today my posts are full of creativity and moving imagery mixed with my art. I feel like this can set me apart from other style- and fashion bloggers and I’m proud of that. It’s been a long year and I’ve enjoyed every bit of it. I also wanted to thank everyone who has been with me during this first year and who have supported me throughout the way. Special thanks to my love Maarten who has helped me with every single post that you see here.

About my look, I did go with denim on denim as I said already – this time in dark wash. Keeping it interesting with the oversized shirt and using the same wrap around technique as HERE and adding high waisted kick flare jeans that add more interest than normal skinny jeans would. Adding pointed toe loafers gives the illusion of longer legs, so I would definitely suggest pointed toe shoes to anyone who is more of a petite size.

Happy 1st birthday to your blog! I love the idea of imitating your first post, I may have to do that for my blog anniversary! Really like this look, I’ve loved double denim for a while now, it looks awesome!
