Seeing that it is Wednesday and I’m in all pink, I couldn’t resist the obvious phrase “On Wednesdays we wear pink”, one of the most known Mean Girls fashion reference. Now that that’s out of the way, bomber jackets are everywhere and no wonder because they are absolutely awesome. The bomber jacket came back in style few years ago but they have been gaining more and more popularity within the last year. And yes, I feel like they are taking the place next to the ever so classical leather jacket which is still a must have for everyone’s closet no matter if you are a woman or a man. When before you could find bombers in navy, black and khaki green, now the range of colors is bigger than ever. One of the biggest hits are 2016 pantone colors of course – pink and sky blue. Although it might be harder to style these colors I can assure you the end result can be amazing. Pastels are more for spring/summer so it’s an ideal way to cooperate bombers with lighter tones into your wardrobe. The easiest way to work with pastel tones is to mix and match different pastels or go with only one color/monochromatic look. You can also mix different shades of the same color to give your outfit more depth and of course you can’t forget the different textures. You could also match your pastels with white for a more summer vibe look or with black which gives your look a more harsh vibe. However bomber jackets in general are pretty easy to style. Just like leather jacket they literally go with EVERYTHING. The most popular way to style a bomber is with a white tee and blue denim mom jeans. But if you want to be more daring you could try wearing your bomber with a nice dress (my preference goes out to a nice lace detailed slip dress) as it gives the look instant edge.
