Asos mom jeans
Since my last post was all about mom jeans I thought it would be helpful to create a part two by showing different styles of mom jeans suitable for any occasion and for each personality/style.
Classical – A pair of mom jeans that are most reliable for any occasion. They can be dressed up or down and match with anything. You can choose for a simple denim pair or add some color with the pink pair. Either way you will be going for the safe bet and look stylish doing so.
Embroidery – That is something new in the jeans department. Embroidered jeans are getting more and more popular and we can see it in high street stores. This sassy pair of jeans can be embellished with all kind of patches, glitter, embroidery, fringe, lace…well the list goes on and on. What ever you can pin, glue or sew on them is a GO. Dressing the embellished pair of jeans however is more trickier. You want all your attention to go towards the pants so keep the rest neutral and calm. If there is a certain color on your pants you can opt for the same color palette or otherwise black or white would be a good option. Depending on your style you can make these pants dressy or casual. One thing is for sure – you will stand out!
Ripped knees – Probably the most common type of jeans today. You can barely find a pair of jeans without any distressing or rips in them. Most popular is the ripped knee version. This style, just like the classical style can be easily dressed up or down. But the advantage in this case is the more relaxed vibe that the rips will provide.
Patches – Just like embroidery jeans this style is quite new however it is a more toned down version of it. Patchwork gives more depth and a subtle interest to your jeans without being too in your face. For this style the most interesting styling includes the denim on denim look a.k.a Canadian tux. If that is too much denim for your liking, style your patched jeans with more toned down and relaxed type pieces (preferably in the same color palette).
Distressing – Take a step on the side boyfriend jeans because you have been replaced. Distressed mom jeans are the new IT jeans. When it used to be all about the relaxed fit boyfriend jeans, now its all about distressed mom jeans. Every style choice goes with this pair. Style them up or down, wear them with heels or sneakers, leather jacket or a blazer – options are limitless.
So now that you know all the A, B, C’s of mom jeans and you have seen how versatile they can be I encourage you to go and pick out a pair that suits the best with your style and give them a go. Trust me – they are worth it!
